While reading my newest book (Eat Cake) during my lunch break at work I was struck by a simple line that has left me profoundly sad.
"Life was not a static experience. We shouldn't expect things to remain the same." -Jeanne Ray in the book EAT CAKE
The reason I am left feeling so sad is that I believe this to be soo true. I have spent my life taking pictures, trying to hold on to those special moments that are soo fleeting.

I think that's why God invented time... so we would keep moving forward... not be limited to experience good or bad things only once, but to keep on experiencing them in increasingly amazing ways. I say remember those moments...treasure those moments. Mary stored up moments of Jesus and pondered them in her heart... keep storing up and pondering your immediate moments and memories, and continue on forward each minute clinging to Jesus all the way, anticipating all He is going to let you experience!

One time my friend Susan went out wearing a mink fur coat with ski pants on...the vinyl kind with the bib up top...it was quite the ensemble!

Kathryn,
That would have been a great site to see. I am pretty sure this was a church day because I can't imagine my mom letting me wear something like this to school were she knew I would be crawling on my knees in the snow all day.

That is a "rare" picture. There are not too many of Grandma Glover since she wasn't able to visit us to often. I also think it must have been one of the only Sunday she went to church with us.
I have often recall this very picture in my mind. Those were very very precious years to me, when you girls were little and I could spend all my days and nights with you. I knew they wouldn't last and never to return. Now I am at that point in my life. Just memories of you little girls with me.
I am so glad now I had all those years with you two!!
And by the way, your coat was rabbit, muff and hat were synthetic and of course Grandmas was too. It makes quite a "picture".
