HERITAGE CLASSIC

Do you ever have regrets? I don't think I have any, just moments were I wonder what would I be doing now if I had followed another path, or made a different choice.

I saw a coach bus the other day and I was suddenly overcome by memories. I was reminded of all the years I played hockey and took coach buses to tournaments. There was the constant drinking of juice boxes, discussions of power plays and penalty kills, and watching movies.

One of my favorite memories was when one bus had a mike and my dad got on the loud speaker. In less then 5 minutes he had all the players and there parents dieing of laughter. I have sooo many stories, I could go on forever. There is something special to me in getting on a bus bound for Saskatchewan at 6am and its snowing and freezing cold out.

Where would I be if I had not quit, how far would I have gone? Do I still have the skills to try-out again?

When playing on the Red Deer Chiefs during provincials my dad made the team a bet. If we made it to the gold medal game, we could all shave his head. This was nearly impossible because Edmonton was in our pool and they had not lost in the provincials in the last 6 years.
WE WON, so we shaved my dads head and then we all got to write our numbers on his bal
d head on game day. All the parents wore out home jerseys too as they cheered in the stands during the Gold Medal Game!

GIRL GALA

The best description of a girlie sleepover; wearing your pjamas, laughing till you feel like throwing up and eating chocolate.

Dishing up the chocolate ( never interfere with a girl and her chocolate).

A competion of great proportions, (how may cupcakes can you stuff in your mouth). Kathryn offcially has the biggest mouth and easily can hold 4 cupcakes in her mouth.

Catch Phrase is sure to cause uncontrolled laughter.

Candice has some very mezmoring pjamas.

A Girlie sleepover is never complete without a cheesy chick flick.

And the morning after!

The Yellow Brick Road

There is something in a walk that just consumes me. I will walk anywhere, I will walk with anyone, I'll go dog walking, I'll go walking on a date, I'll go walking to clear my mind, I'll go walking to get exercise (the least of the reasons to go though). I simply cant find the words to explain how beautiful the world seems to be when I go walking.

One of my moms stipulations during my most recent thanksgiving weekends was that we go for a nice afternoon walk, or there would be no turkey. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with my mom, sister, and are dog.

I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read and all the friends I want to see. ~John Burroughs
